ASHTechnical & Project Management Services

Some scopes don't justify a hire. They still have to be done properly.

ASH works inside your team, under your name, on your systems — preparing and reviewing the documents, drawings and designs a project needs when the scope is too narrow, or the duration too short, to bring someone on permanently.

Who we work with

Real work. No approved headcount.

You won the job, but not the specialist

Consultants and PMCs carrying a scope that needs a commissioning, HVAC or document-control specialist for one phase — not a permanent seat on the org chart.

The submittals are stacking up

Contractors whose technical submissions, shop drawings and as-builts are outrunning the team reviewing them, with no headcount approved to catch up.

One package needs a proper review

Client and owner teams who need an experienced set of eyes on a specific package, design or handover file — or on an existing building whose systems no longer perform as designed.

How we work

Third-party capacity, not a competing consultancy

We are not bidding against you. We are the resource you bring in when the work is real and the headcount is not available.

Under your name

Deliverables carry your title block, your templates and your document numbering. Your client sees your team, because that is what we are for the duration.

Inside your systems

We work in whatever the project runs on — Aconex, ACC, SharePoint, a shared drive — and follow the project's own review codes, transmittal formats and approval routes.

For exactly as long as needed

A week, a package, a phase. No notice period, no headcount approval, no idle cost between assignments.

Services

Five lines. Take any part of any one.

Nothing here has to be engaged as a whole. Most assignments are a single line item from a single stage, for a single package.

01

Project Management

Programme structure, controls and reporting when the team needs another pair of hands on the schedule, the cost report or the risk register.

Project management/PMO support/Project controls/Planning & scheduling/Risk management/Cost monitoring/Progress reporting/Stakeholder management/Interface management

02

Technical Management

Submittal, design and drawing review capacity — the backlog cleared, the interfaces tracked, the technical record kept current and defensible.

Technical coordination/Design & interface management/Technical submittal management/Shop drawing review/Contractor technical coordination/Procurement technical evaluation/QA/QC management/Technical compliance monitoring

03

Construction Management

Site verification, inspection coordination and the non-conformance record — covered for a package, a period, or a stretch of leave.

Construction monitoring/Site supervision & management/Inspection coordination/Progress verification/Contractor performance monitoring/NCR / SOR management/Completion management

04

Commissioning & Operational Readiness

Commissioning strategy, system completion and operational readiness for new projects — and retro-commissioning to bring existing buildings back to the performance they were designed for.

Commissionability review/Pre-commissioning/Testing & commissioning management/FAT / SAT coordination/System completion/Operational readiness/Retro-commissioning of existing buildings/Training/O&M readiness

05

Handover & Closeout

The handover file, asset register and punch list built properly — by someone whose only job that month is to build it.

Handover strategy/O&M documentation/Asset registers/As-built documentation/Training records/Punch-list management/Final completion/Defects-period support

Sectors

Commercial & institutional buildings/ Water & wastewater treatment/ Utilities & networks/ Giga-project infrastructure/ MEP & HVAC-intensive facilities/ Industrial & process plant/ Pumping & lift stations/ District cooling/ Transport & rail infrastructure/ Power & renewables/ Data centres

Asset types where submittal volume, interface count and commissioning complexity are the real programme risk — in any market.

Engagement
By the assignment

Fixed scope, fixed price

A defined deliverable with a price agreed up front — a submittal backlog cleared, a commissioning strategy written, a handover dossier audited, a drawing package reviewed.

By the period

Days per week, for a set duration

An agreed number of days each week for a defined stretch, embedded in your team and reporting through your own lines. Scale up or down as the package moves.

On call

Retained monthly allocation

A standing block of hours each month for review, second-opinion and escalation support across whatever is live — used when you need it.

Software

ASH Engineering Design Suite — the benches we design and review with.

Seventeen Design Benches — sixteen disciplines and an integrated facility bench — for concept sizing, detailed design with code checks, and independent verification of a design by others, with review codes, CRS comments and Rev.xx cycles. One file per bench, no installation, offline.

About

Built for the gap between a real need and an approved headcount

Most project teams meet the same wall. A scope genuinely needs an experienced specialist — for a period too short to justify a hire, and too long to absorb into someone's existing workload. So submittals go unreviewed. Drawing comments pile up. The handover file gets started three weeks before completion.

ASH exists to close that gap without the commitment. We take the narrow, defined pieces — document and drawing review, design checking, submittal management, commissioning and handover documentation — and we deliver them under your name, inside your systems, for exactly as long as you need them.

Assignments are delivered by the principal, or by an associate specialist from our network where the scope, the schedule or the need for independence calls for it. Every engagement is staffed to avoid conflict with work already under way on the same project.
